I’m a little late on the announcement, but just a quick post to say…
On September 28th, 197 days after beginning in Georgia, I completed my thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail!
It was an incredible 2198.4 miles, and Mt Katahdin did not disappoint as the culminating climb.
In the coming weeks I will share more about the final section of my journey, as well as my post-hike reflections. Stay tuned!
Congratulations Kirby! I am almost jealous when I think about all the incredibly beautiful days you had! Your memories will last for your lifetime!
I live vicariously through others adventures as I know my body will never let me do it. It has been a pleasure following your adventure as well as another and also a certain large group. Both the others have summitted but are back tracking to finish off areas they skipped so that they could summit before Katahdin closed for the season.
You made it. Congratulations. I had fun reading your blog. Looking forward to see you again.
